Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and launch extrusion runs (raw materials, cores, cardboard, strapping, etc.)
  • Configure equipment: heat profiles, film/bag sizing, tensions, gauge/gram weight, bubble size, etc.
  • Operate and monitor extrusion and bagging equipment; adjust settings as needed
  • Perform regular quality checks using micrometers and calipers
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area
  • Thread tower extrusion lines, winders, inline bagging/folding equipment
  • Communicate with shift leaders on materials, output, and quality concerns
  • Record production data, machine settings, scrap metrics, and quality results

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in extrusion manufacturing (blown film preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude: understanding of machine settings, blends, heat profiles, web handling
  • Ability to use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
