  • 12 hour shift rotation

Responsibilities include:

  • Removing finished product from the production lines.
  • Sorting and pack products as required.
  • Inspect products at various stages and identify deficiencies.
  • Can document and label products based on specification.
  • Follow ingredient cards to produce products.
  • Can troubleshoot throughout shift as it relates to machine issues, and any other obstacles that may occur.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 1-year of experience in a manufacturing setting is REQUIRED.
  • Must be able to do repetitive tasks and perform warehouse functions
  • Candidates must be able to pass a CBC.
  • Steel toed footwear is mandatory.

Other:

  • Paid weekly.
  • 4% vacation pay added to weekly pay.

Our client, a growing tier 1 automotive supplier in the London area, is looking to add a maintenance technician to their technical team. This multi-faceted role will assist the organization with maintenance support activity, mold and die repair and maintenance and overseeing automation upgrades and maintenance.

A few key responsibilities will include

  • Repair and optimize molds and dies for plastic molding processes.
  • Collaborate with product designers and engineers to understand design requirements.
  • Perform mold repairs as required on the Production Floor.
  • Coordinate all internal and external mold repairs, including sending RFQ’s to outside Mold Repair Shops.
  • Coordinate and maintain spare pins and mold parts with outside vendors.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager tool PM’s and input information into Priority system, after training.
  • Ensure all Automation is functioning as intended, work with any outside contractors to repair/design/install new Automation
  • Repair and upgrade all Automation as required
  • Create Condition Standards for all Injection Machines and Automation and routinely audit them.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure minimal scrap and cycle time improvements

Requirements Include

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience from within the lastic injection molding industry or tool shop or experience gained in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of materials, molding processes, and mold fabrication techniques.

· Can follow and understand work instructions including visual aids and limit samples.

· Has experience in Quality Control and detailed oriented.

· Can identify common defects such as: short shots, splay, flash, etc.

· Uses correct packaging and quantity of parts per work instruction.

· Correctly starts/completes the product inspection, traceability/production forms.

· Attaches proper bar code labels to the correct packaging.

· Ability to work multiple workstations as production needs require.

· Place all first off and fixture parts from previous shift into correct lot number container.

· Records hourly checks on board and/or paperwork provided.

· Completes rework on all parts requiring such at end of shift.

· Checks and changes tip on gasket machine on an hourly basis.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
