· Read and interpret blueprints, adhere to product specifications

· Operation of brake press, shear, and plate roller with computerized controls
· Setup and operation including, checking the nozzle, setting the cut condition, etc.
· Perform regular maintenance when needed
· Follow all safety practices during machine operations
· Complete inspection checks
· Small, customized jobs
· High quality of work

Requirements:

· Minimum of 5 years of CNC Laser Operation experience
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and other specs
· Brass and Aluminum experience is an asset
· Ability to use measuring instruments, i.e., verniers, calipers, tape
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
· Safety shoes/Steel toed footwear
· Will usually have overtime available

Shift hours:

· Monday – Friday

This multi-faceted role will assist the organization with maintenance support activity, mold and die repair and maintenance and overseeing automation upgrades and maintenance.

A few key responsibilities will include

Repair and optimize molds and dies for plastic molding processes.
Collaborate with product designers and engineers to understand design requirements.
Perform mold repairs as required on the Production Floor.
Coordinate all internal and external mold repairs, including sending RFQ’s to outside Mold Repair Shops.
Coordinate and maintain spare pins and mold parts with outside vendors.
Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager tool PM’s and input information into Priority system, after training.
Ensure all Automation is functioning as intended, work with any outside contractors to repair/design/install new Automation
Repair and upgrade all Automation as required
Create Condition Standards for all Injection Machines and Automation and routinely audit them.
Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure minimal scrap and cycle time improvements

Requirements Include

Minimum 5 years’ experience from within the lastic injection molding industry or tool shop or experience gained in a similar role.
Knowledge of materials, molding processes, and mold fabrication techniques.
5 years’ experience in the maintenance of molds, injection machines, associated auxiliary equipment
Skilled Trade Certificate or Technical Education Diploma

· Can follow and understand work instructions including visual aids and limit samples.

· Has experience in Quality Control and detailed oriented.

· Can identify common defects such as: short shots, splay, flash, etc.

· Uses correct packaging and quantity of parts per work instruction.

· Correctly starts/completes the product inspection, traceability/production forms.

· Attaches proper bar code labels to the correct packaging.

· Ability to work multiple workstations as production needs require.

· Place all first off and fixture parts from previous shift into correct lot number container.

· Records hourly checks on board and/or paperwork provided.

· Completes rework on all parts requiring such at end of shift.

· Checks and changes tip on gasket machine on an hourly basis.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the counter customer service, delivering fast, courteous, helpful and accurate service to all internal and external customer
Restock shelves and count current inventory
Manage incoming goods, label product, keep shelves neat and organized
Deliver goods and put away in VMI areas of facility (may include vending equipment)

Clean crib work area including garbage cans, floors, computers and crib equipment
Responsible for keeping the crib area secure at all times by ensuring only WFS team members enter the area. Gates must be locked as deemed appropriate

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
