Job Location: Delta (includes Surrey/Richmond & Lower Mainland)

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Structures (AME S) performs aircraft maintenance, repairs and overhaul applicable to their trade and completes the associated documentation in accordance with industry standards, and company policies and procedures. Assists and coaches junior technicians as required.This position belongs to the bargaining unit and shall abide by all rules and regulations set out in the Collective Agreement. Pay Rate: $33.35 – $38.58 / hour

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Ensure all paperwork, documentation and reporting associated with a repair is completed accurately
• Provide coaching and leadership to junior technicians to ensure work tasks are performed efficiently and accurately, and that appropriate skills to progress in the trade are developed
• Ensure all work tasks are performed in accordance with health and safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN ORDER TO QUALIFY:

• 48 + months’ experience performing AME duties
• Holder of AME license or equivalency
• Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (approved by TCA or the applicable governing body)
• Good communication skills: fluent written and verbal English is mandatory
• Basic Computer Skills: word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
• Specific knowledge of manufacturing, maintenance, repair and modification of aircraft or systems and components in the areas of Structures and/or Composites
• Ability to ensure that approved standards of quality control are maintained
• Safe work practices and techniques
• Basic coaching and leadership skills
