Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Identify and assess potential safety and quality risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety and quality requirements are met.
  • Provide training to employees on safety and quality best practices.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on safety and quality performance for management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for WCB/WSIB matters relating to the Worker, Employer, and Worker’s Compensation Board.
  • Coordinate Return-to-Work and Accommodation Plans for all work-related and non-work-related disability claims.
  • Participate in the monthly Joint Health & Safety Committee.
  • Participate in monthly Workplace Inspections and provide corresponding reports to management.
  • Review job site safety compliance inspections, including hazard analysis, risk assessments, and safe work procedures; identify and provide risk assessment recommendations.

Forklift Operators in Bolton | $19-$22/hour (2024-07-05)

We are currently looking for a Forklift Operator / Material Handler who will maintain production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product. The Forklift Operator / Material Handler will help maintain the warehouse stock. You will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on customer orders and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory.

Pay Rate: $19.00 – $22.00 hourly
Shifts Available: Morning & Afternoon shifts

Job Duties:

  • Pick orders using a RF scanner and Material Handling Equipment such as Centre riders, Motorized carts or a Reach truck
  • Review and pick products based on customer orders and then pull the right products for each order
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pack, wrap, label, load, ship)
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording the location of inventory
  • Help receive and process warehouse stock products (unload, pick, label, store)
  • Assist with inventory control and keep quality standards high for audit
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Report discrepancies and collaborate with the inventory control and purchasing groups to determine when the product is missing in a delivery
  • Work closely with the inventory group to monitor supply levels and submit purchasing recommendations on a regular basis
  • Communicate and cooperate with co-workers and Warehouse Leads
  • Adhere to any current or future standard operating procedures and company policies

Job Requirements:

  • Must drive
  • High school Diploma/GED required
  • Ability to lift loads of up to 50lbs as required
  • Must have safety footwear
  • 1+ years in inventory management experience
  • Must be current on certifications for Walkies, Counter Balance and Reach Truck Operations
  • Forklift experience is mandatory (OSHA forklift certification is considered an asset)
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience with use of handheld computers
  • Must have a clean criminal background check
  • Strong attention to detail with good communication skills

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Conventional Lathe Machinist (manual lathe machinist) with machining experience. Someone who is mechanically inclined enjoys working with their hands, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and takes pride in doing a good job.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • interpret engineering drawings, procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Preventative Maintenance of machinesTroubleshoot production drawings.
  • Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues and identify areas of improvement.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with all provincial and federal laws, the Company quality standards and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • Verify dimensions of machined parts or tooling using micrometres, Vernier’s, callipers, height gauges or other specialized measuring instruments
  • Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to the supervisor
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
  • Lifting Requirements: Up to 50lbs.Mathematical: Advanced Math, including geometry and trigonometry.C Display Settings

Education and Experience

  • Graduate from a technical school or equivalent
  • Min. 5 years Canadian conventional lathe experience.
  • Understanding of Metallurgy and materials with their applications
  • Can select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments,accessories, and materials on machine.
