IS2 Workforce Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our client’s manufacturing team in Guelph. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting sheet metal components and fully assembled electro-mechanical products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. This role requires proficiency in using precision measurement tools, performing audits, and maintaining quality records within a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and audit incoming materials, in-process production, and final assemblies of sheet metal components and integrated electro-mechanical products.
- Utilize measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and laser quality control systems for first-article and in-process inspections.
- Conduct product and process audits, identifying non-conforming materials and implementing corrective actions.
- Train production employees in inspection and test methods to uphold quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records related to inspection processes.
- Comply with health, safety, environmental programs, and ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily takes place on the production floor and requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as specified in company safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- University or College Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing-related roles.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, preferably ISO 9001.
- Proficient in blueprint reading.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Technical and practical experience with metrology and inspection/test equipment.
- Preferred experience with mechanical and electronic assembly/integration.
- Experience in sheet metal manufacturing, especially within contract manufacturing environments, is an asset.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Pay rate: $22/hr + depends on experience
Location: Guelph , ON
Timings: Monday to Thursday from 12pm to 10:30 pm
