  • Creating and or installing memorable brand experiences.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications.
  • Design and construct appropriate crating as necessary.
  • Assist set up and take down of trade show displays
  • Fabricate components in accordance with time-frame available
  • Travel to a variety of job sites including Boston, Miami, Chicago, NYC, etc. (Company supplies travel accommodations.)

Required experience, skills, certifications:

  • Woodworking I Cabinet making asset.
  • Experience with power tools and a G license with a clean driver’s abstract is an asset
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
  • CNC experience as asset

Our client is a manufacturer of instrument panels as both a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier to the automotive industry. As they ramp up for the Fall Season, we are currently looking for Production Team Members for all shifts, located in their facility in St. Mary’s, Ontario.

Job Description

  • Light to medium assembly of automotive interior products, primarily instrument panels
  • Work pace/repetitive movements includes part cycle times varying from 50 to 60 seconds per part at most workstations
  • Standing/walking for up to 8 hours per day
  • Lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling up to approximately 12 kg (26 pounds)
  • Use of hand tools such as a screw gun, heat gun, trimming knife
  • Use of a computer

Requirements

  • Good manual dexterity and an eye for detail

  • A Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent; Basic Skills Testing is available and a passing mark would provide equivalency to a diploma

Safety – Personal Protective Equipment

  • Steel-toed safety shoes, CSA approved
  • Safety glasses with side shields
  • Hearing protection required on some jobs

Shift Structure: Days 7am – 3pm / Afternoons 3pm – 11am / Midnights 11pm – 7am

Pay Rate: $19.71 + Shift Premiums

  • Operate CNC router table efficiently, effectively and in a safe manner
  • Completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions
  • Safe operation of CAD software and CNC table

WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN ORDER TO QUALIFY:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Completion of a three to four year apprenticeship program

OR

  • A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry
  • Valid passport and ability to travel within canada and the united states
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to operate under significant time constraints and pressure
  • Computer savvy with CNC experience preferred
