This role involves hands-on work as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, managing a team of shop technicians, and coordinating all aspects of fleet servicing and parts procurement. The successful candidate will ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards, including CVIP inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty on- and off-road equipment.
  • Supervise, schedule, and support shop mechanics to maintain productivity and safety standards.
  • Coordinate and ensure completion of CVIP inspections and compliance for all commercial vehicles and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in a mechanical technology or drafting program
  • Fluent in Solidworks
  • Experience with AutoCAD is an asset
  • Basic understanding and the ability to modify electrical drawings
  • Machine shop experience, and knowledge of manufacturing methodologies is an asset
  • Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably
