We are currently seeking an Engineering Project Manager for one our Well-Established clients in Barrie, ON.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and design of projects, managing a team of civil technologists, handling estimations and quotations, reviewing contracts, and assessing drawings and MOL (Ministry of Labour) applications. Applicants should hold a valid professional engineering registration in good standing. Candidates with experience in the construction industry are preferred. Ideally, applicants should have 3-5 years of Canadian Civil Engineering experience. The successful candidate should possess strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Job Type: Full-Time Direct Hire

Salary: $90,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough project reviews, including Statement of Work (SOW) assessments, volume and cost calculations, and execution schedules.
  • Review project designs prior to bidding and the release of quotes.
  • Manage multiple AGC projects from start to finish.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including tender specifications, drafting, technical contract reviews, material orders, staffing for project installations, contractor scheduling, and follow-up.
  • Analyze contracts for technical discrepancies, omissions, and additional requirements.
  • Address client and engineering issues during and after contractual completion.
  • Provide guidance on product usage and care.
  • Approve internal engineering reviews, installation project designs, and reports.
  • Ensure final designs, as-built drawings, manuals, and QA documentation meet standards before shipping, installation, or client delivery.
  • Verify compliance with project plans and procedures.
  • Apply a professional engineering stamp to relevant Ontario drawings and other provinces as needed.
  • Conduct site inspections and feasibility assessments as required.
  • Coordinate the civil team through effective coaching techniques, fostering open communication, and integrating new staff.
  • Ensure proposed designs align with safety, technical, operational, commercial, maintenance, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to enhance protocols, policies, and tools related to technical processes and project management.
  • Participate in annual strategic planning and budgeting processes.

Education & Experience
