Pay Rate: $19.50 – $22.50 / hourly

Shifts Available:

  • Monday to Friday, starting from 6:00 AM onwards.
  • Expect to work up to 50 hours per week, with overtime pay provided for hours exceeding 44 per week.
  • End times may vary depending on the completion of scheduled product processing. While the typical workday ends at 2:30 or 3:00 PM, it may extend up to 5:00 PM as necessary to fulfill production requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Participate in the paid training program to develop and enhance knife skills.
  • Perform butchering tasks according to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Efficiently process hog products to meet production targets.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Adhere to sanitation and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN ORDER TO QUALIFY:

  • Proven experience in the butchery industry in Canada or abroad
  • Proficient in various cutting techniques and comfortable using a range of knives and cutting tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of different cuts of meat and a commitment to maintaining high food safety standards.
  • Experience operating meat processing equipment, including slicers, grinders, and bandsaws.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs), and work under pressure.
