Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Position
Salary: Competitive compensation, with benefits and all necessary safety equipment’s. Shifts are Monday to Friday.
Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed (433A) Millwright to join the team in London, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
The position entails assembling, repairing, and troubleshooting machinery while following safety protocols. Tasks include system support, documentation, timely execution of maintenance orders and providing on call support. Additionally, maintaining tools and assisting contractors are an integral aspect of this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and fabricate machinery, equipment, spare parts and tools according to blueprints/SOPs/technical manuals and others as needed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and control problems, correct them according to SOPs and technical manuals.
- Follow safety procedures, including WHMIS, rigging/hoisting electrical safety.
- Complete system support work such as fuse changes, temperature controller adjustments and PLC tasks.
- Document work orders, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and validation of documents.
- Support on-site contractors as necessary and maintain tools, toolboxes, and shop areas.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience working with shop tools, lathe, mills, grinders, drill presses, precision measurement instruments, power tools, technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, controllers, plcs, engineering drawings, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
- Previous millwright experience is preferred.
- Completion of Tradesman and qualification act requirements.
- Certified Millwright certification
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting/handling procedures.
- Having an electrical background is an asset.
