IS2 Workforce Solutions is looking for a Maintenance Technician!

Established in 1997, our client is a leading force in thermoplastic parts manufacturing for lightweight automotive designs. They specialize in off-the shelf and bespoke solutions leveraging innovative development tools and composite materials.  

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Position

Salary range of $52-75,000 depending on experience and qualifications compensation.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for proactively engaging in all aspects of the corporation maintenance program.

The Maintenance Technician/Millwright will be responsible for executing mold changes and process set-up, troubleshooting, and initiating equipment repairs. If you are someone who can effectively communicate with the maintenance manager, coordinate emergency repair services and seamlessly hand off the shift with production supervisor and incoming maintenance technicians, this role could be yours!

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute production equipment mould changes and tooling process set-up activities
• Troubleshoot and initiate necessary equipment repairs and communicate issues to manager
• Conduct shift hand-off with production supervisor and maintenance technician
• Plan and complete assigned special projects

Education and Skill Requirements

• Diploma or certification as a Millwright, maintenance or mechanical engineering diploma
• Minimum 3 years previous experience performing plant maintenance and reliability programs and duties from within a manufacturing operation. 
• Experience assets would include; forklift experience and overhead crane experience
