We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our clients dynamic heavy machinery equipment supplier warehouse team in Pickering.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, locate, and store products within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. This is beginning as summer employment with the opportunity to work long-term.

Your day to day routine:

• Packing product into boxes
• Shipping products in a timely manner to customers
• Manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling and sorting
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Lead Hand
• Able to pick product from the pick tower

What you need to qualify:

• Attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to use RF Scanner
• Knowledge of safety rules
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to work overtime hours as required
• Able to commute to work by vehicle (driver’s license and vehicle required – no transit option)
• Experience with Hyster equipment is considered an asset
• A minimum of three years of Counterbalance, Raymond Reach and Order Picker forklifts with valid license

Shift: 3:30PM – 12:00AM midnight, plus overtime

Wage: $24.00/HR to start
