Are you a driven, self-motivated sales professional with a passion for building strong client relationships and uncovering growth opportunities? We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative (ideally with metals or industrial sales experience) to join our team and play a key role in expanding revenue and market share within a defined territory. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service, foster long-term partnerships, and identify strategic sales opportunities. You’ll travel within your region, engage virtually with customers, and help drive the ongoing success of the branch

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts within your territory
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand market share
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of customer interactions and sales activity
  • Collaborate with inside sales and support teams to ensure outstanding customer service
  • Prepare quotations and proposals for management approval
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively
  • Develop annual marketing plans for key accounts and prospects
  • Monitor industry trends, pricing changes, and competitor activity
  • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and training seminars
  • Deliver value-driven communication to clients and prospects
  • Support inside sales team as required
  • Uphold company values and quality standards

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in metals industry, commercial, or industrial sales is a strong asset
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management abilities
  • Adaptable to remote/field work with disciplined focus
  • Excellent communication skills (phone, email, video conferencing)
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient with CRM and sales technologies
  • Confident presenting KPIs, account updates, and market insights to leadership
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
