What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with the review and approval of supplier and installation contracts
- Track and evaluate vendor performance to support future contract decisions
- Conduct bid reviews and assist with subcontract preparation
- Support the design team with shop drawing review, material specifications, and detailing
- Verify fabrication drawings for accuracy prior to release
- Collaborate with the General Manager, Production Supervisor, and Drafting Manager to:
- Develop detailed glazing schedules
- Align timelines with General Contractors
- Schedule shop labor for site installations
- Manage and document change orders, RFIs, site instructions, and contract modifications in Sage 100
- Track and assess impacts to scope, cost, and schedule
- Verify material quantities and specifications prior to issuing purchase orders
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Project Coordination teams to ensure timely ordering
- Attend weekly internal and site meetings to review priorities and site conditions
- Communicate clearly with clients, architects, vendors, and internal stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Hands-on experience with glass production processes
(tempering, laminating, coating, cutting, etc.) - Experience with curtain wall systems
(custom doors, railings, skylights, vents) is an asset - Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D technical drawings
- Proficiency with project management software, Sage 100, and Microsoft Project
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate cross-functional teams
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, resources, and risk
- Logistics experience (required)
- Strong communication skills with internal teams, vendors, and clients
- Ability to make data-driven decisions under tight deadlines
- Valid G driver’s license (travel to job sites required)
