We are seeking an innovative and adaptable Restaurant General Manager to lead our dynamic establishment, which offers both fine dining and a vibrant club/pub atmosphere that welcomes families during the day. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations across both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH), ensuring seamless service from opening (11:00 AM) through to close (typically midnight–2:00 AM).
- Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and supply ordering to maintain consistent stock levels and product quality.
- Collaborate with accounting, human resources, and senior leadership to align on financial and operational goals.
- Lead recruitment, training, scheduling, and ongoing development of FOH and BOH team members.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Monitor food, beverage, cleanliness, and service standards, making adjustments as needed to uphold quality.
- Manage labor, food, and beverage costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
- Represent the establishment at industry events to stay current on trends and best practices.
- Oversee brand presence and engagement across social media platforms, ensuring timely responses and consistent messaging.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or escalations in a timely and professional manner.
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a high-volume food and beverage environment.
- Proven ability to lead and manage both kitchen and front-of-house operations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost control, and seasonal scheduling.
- Smart Serve certification and a thorough understanding of Ontario liquor laws and compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night hours.
- A genuine appreciation for Irish culture and hospitality is a strong asset.
