The Senior Water Technician / Project Lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing water and fire restoration projects from site setup through completion. This individual will lead crews on residential and commercial projects, coordinate daily activities on site, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The role is physically demanding and requires strong technical expertise combined with proven on-site leadership.

Work Location & Schedule

  • Edmonton and surrounding area approximately 98% of the time
  • Home most nights
  • Occasional out-of-town project work as required
  • Overtime required based on project demands and emergency response needs

Compensation & Benefits

  • $32–$38 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise crews on water and fire restoration projects
  • Coordinate and manage on-site project execution for residential and commercial jobs
  • Perform and oversee water mitigation, demolition, drying, and restoration work
  • Ensure project timelines, safety standards, and quality expectations are met
  • Act as the primary on-site lead, coordinating workflow and resources
  • Communicate with internal management and external stakeholders as required
  • Support training, mentoring, and performance oversight of junior technicians
  • Maintain job documentation and reporting as required

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in water and fire restoration (residential and commercial)
  • Demonstrated experience leading crews on active job sites
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills
  • Water Technician / IICRC certification considered a strong asset
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, demolition, extended standing, confined spaces)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and solutions-oriented approach

This is a senior, working-lead role requiring both technical expertise and leadership presence on site. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in demanding conditions and taking ownership of job execution and crew coordination.
